Ellen, Academic Tutor
After graduating with a degree in Primary Education, Ellen started her career teaching in year 2 and has a strong knowledge of Key Stage 1 and end of KS1 expectations. She has since gained experience teaching in Key Stage 2 and also has knowledge of SATs. Ellen has been a literacy leader in school. She was committed to creating a positive reading culture throughout the school community as well as implementing key strategies in order to lift attainment in reading and writing.
Ellen is a teacher with energy and enthusiasm for educating children with a fun, positive, caring and inclusive approach. She provides a safe space to learn where children can feel valued and confident to become successful learners. Ellen is creative and loves finding ways to make maths and English engaging for her students. She strives to teach without limits on ability for all children and is adaptable to meet each child’s needs.
Outside of teaching, Ellen has a strong interest in mental and physical wellbeing and is studying for a diploma in Holistic Life Coaching Skills. In her spare time, Ellen enjoys art and loves painting and drawing. She also likes walking in the countryside and days at the beach with family and friends.
