Private Academic Tuition in Sussex
Who are we?
We are fully qualified tutors who offer child-focused, friendly and creative private lessons.
Who do we teach?
We tutor children and adults aged 4 years and upwards to Key Stage 3 into GCSEs and beyond.
Where do we teach?
We teach in the comfort of each pupil’s own home, and operate broadly in the Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Crowborough area of Sussex. Online lessons are also available.
When are lessons?
At at time that’s convenient for you; we offer tutoring during the day for home educated children, as well as after school hours and at weekends.
Would your child benefit from regular, one-to-one support and tuition in a specific area of the curriculum? Perhaps he or she needs a confidence boost or help with exam technique in the run-up to SATs or a scholarship exam? We can help your child achieve confidence, independence and success in his or her learning.
In our academic tutoring sessions, we develop skills and confidence in reading, writing and maths through the use of games, creative learning and fun resources. We encourage you, the parent / carer, to be involved wherever possible in the teaching and learning process, so that you feel confident in supporting your child as he or she learns.
We believe that individual tuition is for everyone. Not only is it a wonderful form of support for a child who needs to review areas of his or her learning, it is just as valuable to a child who is ready to take new steps to discover their true potential. We can offer support in the form of weekly term time lessons or flexi holiday tutoring.
We work hard to meet the needs of each individual child while making sure that our lessons are engaging, inspiring, fun and challenging for the learner. Following a free phone consultation, we will arrange an initial informal assessment conducted by our academic tutor coordinator, Sheila.
Who are we?
We are an experienced, enthusiastic and qualified team of tutors who use fun and effective methods to develop your child’s skills and confidence in order to unlock his or her potential. We tutor children and adults aged 4 years upwards, from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 3 into GCSEs and beyond. We teach across the range of academic subjects as well as offering instrumental and music lessons.
How do we decide which tutor is best for you?
Sheila, as our academic tutor coordinator, will arrange a suitable time to meet you and your child to conduct an initial detailed assessment. Sheila will get to know your child in the comfort of your home and note down any concerns and /or thoughts and feelings you and your child may have in relation to their learning and school life. Sheila will use various methods, including baseline assessment, to assess the level at which your child is working. She will provide detailed parent feedback and an agreed action plan to support your child as they move forward with their learning. The length of this initial session will vary depending on the needs of the individual child. Sheila will then allocate the most suitable tutor to work with your child. Rest assured, the assessment is conducted in a relaxed, fun and informal manner so that your child feels comfortable and enjoys the session.
