CLIENTS’ VIEWS ON JOEY

“My daughter had reached year four at primary and found herself struggling with maths. Though I tried to help we just ended up arguing and her refusing to engage. I decided a tutor could help her with specific areas and Joey started helping out every week. With Joey my daughter was always interested, engaged and then applied what she had learnt at home and school. Mostly her confidence has come on so much in a subject where she would pretend illness to miss the class at school. Thank you Joey, our daughter sees you as her friend and I am so happy to see her achieving where she didn't think she could.” - Kelly Mitchell

“We are thrilled to have found Discover & Be. Our 10 year old son has tuition lessons once a week and thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to them. Joey is very experienced and knowledgeable and we couldn’t be happier with her. Joey is always happy if I ask her to help/support our son with a specific topic or homework task, and she always has the appropriate resources and work for him. I keep Joey updated with school reports which she will then work from and focus on those areas our son needs more help and encouragement. Joey is always bubbly and punctual and most importantly is really building our son's confidence up. Highly recommend *****” - Jemma, mother of two

“My child has been working with Joey for over a year and their confidence has improved dramatically. From a child who dreaded English, dragged their heels over homework and thought they couldn’t do it, to someone who willingly and ably will complete their work. The weekly sessions with Joey have transformed their attitude and motivation to achieve more.” - Sharon Millar

“I am very grateful to have had the lovely Joey tutoring my son for the last year.  He had had a difficult time in his previous primary school and Joey has helped him overcome that and have the confidence to return to learning.  He has grown very fond of her over the last year and will miss her lots.  I can’t recommend Discover and Be highly enough.  Thank you!” - Helen Abbott

“Joey is a real credit to Discover and Be. Our son has benefitted greatly from spending time with her and he has enjoyed this too. Her approach is fantastic.” - Clare and Andrew Betchley

“My lessons with Jo are always really enjoyable. When I find something difficult, she explains it in a fun way that helps me understand.” - Felix, Year 8

There is always a lot of laughter when Jo is tutoring my son. She makes his lessons fun, keeps him engaged in his learning, and has really built up his confidence.” - Vix, mother of two

As with all our tutors, Joey is fully DBS certified.
