Rebecca, Piano, Harp, Voice and Recorder Tutor
Rebecca (Becs) holds a BMus (Hons) from Cardiff University from where she graduated in 2006 after winning the Sir Geraint Evans Prize for Singing. She also holds a PGDip in Arts Management and an MA in Cultural Policy and Management from City University, London.
As well as teaching privately for over 20 years on the piano, harp, voice and recorder, Becs has worked both at the award-winning music charity HMDT Music as the Senior Music Manager and as the Community and Education Officer for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
At HMDT Music she ran the Saturday Programme (their Music School) which catered for students aged 6 months - 22 years old across programmes such as The Music Box, CYMH instrumental programme, I Can Sing Music Theatre, Music Treehouse (SEND) and the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy. As well as being pastorally and ‘academically’ responsible for over 450 students and their parents and teaching a small number of scholarship students, Becs also ran her own group classes - The Music Box, Grade 5 theory, General Musicianship, Recorder & Fledglings.
In addition, Becs has also worked as a Teaching Assistant (SEND), Project Leader and Creative Composition Coach within primary schools across London and Sussex.
