Rod, Academic Tutor
Rod taught Physics (to A-level) and Maths (to GCSE) for fifteen years in sixth form colleges, comprehensive schools and independent boarding schools and has been a boarding housemaster. He has also done one-to-one tutoring since 2012.
Rod has an array of impressive qualifications including a BSc (Hons) Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Birmingham, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from City University Business School as well as Qualified Teacher Status.
Although Rod initially started his career in the commercial sector, he has been teaching for the last twenty years in a variety of settings. He principally tutors Physics A-level and International Baccalaureate but has also been a a full-time Maths teacher and a full-time Chemistry teacher during a varied teaching career. This enables him to tutor GCSE students with Science and Maths. Rod is also experienced in working with students with dyslexia.
When not tutoring Rod enjoys rowing, golf, squash, mountaineering, ballroom and Latin dancing, and - unsuprisingly given his earlier academic interests - astronomy.
